Product Care
How should I clean my leather garment?
Proper care extends the life of your leather garment, keeping it looking new and stylish. Here are some simple steps for cleaning:
- Use a soft brush to gently remove any dust or dirt.
- Prepare a cleaning solution with distilled water and neutral soap (without chemicals). Dampen a microfiber cloth or sponge with the solution, then gently wipe down the outside of the garment from top to bottom.
- Moisten another cloth with just water and wipe the garment again to remove soap residue.
- Use a clean towel to remove excess water, avoiding any water marks.
- Hang the garment to dry naturallyβavoid direct sunlight, heat sources, or air dryers.
Can I wear a leather jacket in the rain?
Mild rain is generally fine and wonβt harm your leather jacket, but prolonged exposure to moisture can cause damage. If your jacket does get wet, gently wipe off any excess water and let it dry naturally by hanging it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
What else should I do for the care of my leather garment?
Our leather jackets arenβt water-resistant by default, so exposure to moisture can dry them out and make them brittle. If youβd like, you can apply a water-resistant product, but be sure to follow the manufacturerβs instructions carefully, as we cannot take responsibility for any damage caused by these products.
To keep your leather garment looking great, clean it regularly to remove dust and dirt, and condition it once or twice a year to maintain its appearance and durability. Avoid dry cleaning, machine washing, tumble drying, using bleach, detergents, chemical soaps, ironing, or force drying. Also, protect it from direct sunlight, rain, humidity, alcohol, oils, grease, and abrasive cleaners to extend its life.
How should I store my leather garment?
Proper storage is essential to maintaining the look and shape of your leather garment. Here are a few tips:
- Use a breathable garment bag, avoiding plastic packaging.
- Hang the jacket on padded or wooden hangers to help keep its shape.
- Avoid folding the garment when storing.
- Store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and high heat sources.
Following these steps will help your leather jacket stay in great condition for years to come.
